Written during a period of serious depression, the song explores the twists and turns of trying to crawl out of the darkness. With its epic drums, claps and crescendos, "No One Will Miss Me" takes you on a journey through sadness that's as raw and honest as it is unexpected. Of the song, writer and lead vocalist Eric Hölljes said "I sometimes suffer from depression. I want people to know that they're not alone if they suffer from despair or suicidal thoughts. The Light is the most funded album for an independent band in Kickstarter history, raising $30,000 in 30 minutes, $60,000 in an hour and nearly half a million by campaign end. The album traces the band back to its origins in Durham, NC and celebrates the joys, mysteries and magic of life from the point of view of each of the four lead vocalists, with each song also tied to a specific card in The Tarot's major arcana.
The group is embarking on the northeastern leg of a national tour, kicking off in Charlottesville, VA on April 7th, and taking their new album to New York, Boston, Atlanta, and more, setting the Southern storytellers up for an exciting and active spring.
