New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Sam Smith releases an acoustic version of their latest single, "To Die For", along with an ambient visual.
Filmed and recorded live in Los Angeles, this version sees the single stripped down to a piano and cello, with Sam Smith's vocals front and centre in a sentimental performance reminiscent of their earliest releases.

The original was released alongside their profound music video, directed by Grant Singer, earlier this month and was accompanied by the announcement of their long-awaited third album, To Die For, set for release on May 1. In February, Smith also gave a breathtaking live performance at Sydney Mardi Gras, where they were received with love by the thousands who attended.

In 2019, 'Stay With Me' became the singer's first record to reach a billion streams on Spotify with 'Too Good At Goodbyes' following shortly after. These achievements came just months after they completed their The Thrill Of It All World Tour, having performed over 100 dates worldwide and selling over 1 million tickets. Last year also saw the release of Sam Smith's hit singles 'Dancing With A Stranger' and 'How Do You Sleep?'. The former, a collaboration with US singer Normani, has sold over 10 million copies and the video was named as UK VEVO's Most Watched Video of the Year.
