Virgin EMI Presents Lockdown Live In Support Of Global Citizen And The Who's COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Virgin EMI are launching Lockdown Live, a unique "live" music experience put together in support of Global Citizen and the World Health Organisation (WHO)'s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.

Lockdown Live takes the form a three day live-streamed music festival, with the aim to encourage everyone to stay indoors and provide entertainment and light relief in these uncertain times.

32 acts (across pop, alternative and dance music) will perform over three days from their homes, with each performance live streamed at www.lockdownlive.uk.

The Festival starts this weekend on the 3rd of April with the Rhapsody Stage supported by VT at Jungle Creations. The line-up features an array of modern pop's most influential stars including HRVY, The Vamps, Alessia Cara, Jay Pryor and is headlined by the almighty SG Lewis.

Day 2 will showcase talent from the Alternative scene on the Fools Gold Stage. The eclectic line-up includes the soulful singer/songwriters Lily Moore and Olivia Dean, the high-octane rock sound of Twin Atlantic and the anthemic, synth pop of Vera Blue.

The third and final day will see the action coming from the virtual Encore Stage, supported by Seasoned at Buzzfeed UK. The Encore stage will feature some of the hottest talent in urban music, both from the UK and internationally, giving everyone some perfect Sunday vibes. From the smooth R'N'B of Duchess and Maya B, to the high-energy rap of Wauve and the affirming highlife stylings of headliner, Adekunle Gold.

Global Citizen is the world's largest movement of action takers and impact makers dedicated to ending extreme poverty by 2030. With over 10 million monthly advocates, our voices have the power to drive lasting change around sustainability, equality, and humanity. We post, tweet, message, vote, sign, and call to inspire those who can make things happen to act—government leaders, businesses, philanthropists, artists, and citizens—together improving lives. By downloading our app, Global Citizens learn about the systemic causes of extreme poverty, take action on those issues, and earn rewards, which can be redeemed for tickets to concerts, events, and experiences all over the world. To date, the actions of our community, along with high-level advocacy efforts and work with partners, has resulted in commitments and policy announcements from leaders valued at over $48 billion, affecting the lives of more than 2.25 billion people by 2030.
Global Citizen, the World Health Organization (WHO), and a group of exceptional music artists launched Together At Home, a virtual music experience to unify people around the world when they may feel isolated by the conditions of COVID-19, and to ask them to start taking meaningful actions on globalcitizen.org/coronavirus to increase funding to the WHO.
