NASHVILLE, TN. (Sawyer brown Official Website) - Sawyer Brown, the prolific country band renowned for its energetic live performances, are in the midst of another packed summer of concert dates and appearances in advance of the August release of Mission Temple.

The band's 16th major label studio album is preceded at radio by the new single "They Don't Understand," a poignant call for patience in the face of unseen adversity. From the newly-widowed mother struggling with restless children to a heart-broken elderly gentleman who's a little slow behind the wheel, the song begs compassion for those whose troubles run much deeper than the surface.

Moved by the song frontman Mark Miller discovered while shopping for furniture - the songwriter was inspired by his learning-disabled child - the band has developed a "Next Door Hero" program to honor those who make a difference in their communities. Country radio listeners can nominate a "Next Door Hero" through their local station, and the chosen recipient in each city will be honored during a backstage meet and greet prior to the band's show there.

Stepping away from convention for the video, Sawyer Brown chose unknown director Lark Watts to bring a gritty edge to the clip. An independent rock artist who self-produced his own video, Watts came to Miller's attention via a friend. The video is also a departure from their last shoot, a fireworks-framed take on the new album's "Mission Temple Fireworks Stand" that featured the explosive steel-guitar playing of the sensational Robert Randolph.
And speaking of sensational, Sawyer Brown bring their acclaimed live show to a typically full slate of locales nationwide in the coming months:
