Harry Nilsson Web Pages Honors Talk Like a Pirate Day

New York, NY (Roger Smith, www.talklikeapirate.com) - Singer/songwriter Harry Nilsson wrote "Men At Sea" for the Pirate film "Yellowbeard" and sang "Black Sails in the Moonlight" on an album produced by former-Beatle John Lennon. With a nod towards these swashbuckling forays, the Harry Nilsson Web Pages honors "Talk Like a Pirate Day" each September 19th by automatically translating itself into pirate-speak. For those who cannot wait for "Talk Like a Pirate Day," a preview is available at https://pirate.harrynilsson.com/.

Harry Nilsson is best remembered for his 1972 world-wide hit recording of "Without You." The Harry Nilsson Web Pages is a fan-created site featuring biographical articles and an extensive discography.

Talk Like a Pirate Day was started by John Baur and Mark Summers in 1995 and introduced to the rest of the world in 2002 by columnist Dave Barry. The holiday is celebrated around the world each year on September 19 by adopting Pirate-speak such as "Aaar!! Thar be a web site ye ought t' visit at https://www.talklikeapirate.com/."
