Sydney, AUSTRALIA (SONY BMG
Music Entertainment)- There have been rumours around the way for sometime now that one of Australia's most-loved vocal groups, Human Nature, were back in the recording studio. Well, we're happy to confirm it's all TRUE and Andrew, Michael, Phil and Toby will release a Motown album in November! Since establishing the group in high school,
Human Nature have won widespread praise and respect for their incredible vocal abilities and beautiful harmonies. Australia embraced their infectious up tempo tracks and soaring ballads and over their 15 year career so far, the guys have released five multi-platinum albums spawning 16 Top 40 hits. And did we mention they've sold over three-quarters of a million albums (in three continents) and toured with superstars such as Michael Jackson,
Janet Jackson,
Celine Dion and John Farnham?
The truth is, for most of us, Human Nature need no introduction - we STILL just can't get enough of Andrew, Michael, Phil and Toby. Which makes it doubly thrilling to be able to confirm that all the rumours you've heard about the guys being back in the recording studio are true, and that fans can look forward to hearing Human Nature's brand new album this November.
The follow-up to their 2004 album 'Walk The Tightrope' (which produced two hit singles and a sell-out national tour), we can also confirm that Human Nature's sixth studio album will be a Motown record - that's right, classic No 1 Motown songs performed by Australia's finest vocalists.
No strangers to the genre, Human Nature have been including Motown covers in their live set (after being inundated by fans to do so), with their breath-taking renditions becoming a huge highlight of their gigs ever since and guaranteeing to lift any audience to their feet!
Due to such overwhelming demand, the group decided that Motown was a path they were also eager to explore recording wise and ended up hitting the studio to put their stamp on classic tunes by the likes of The Four Tops, Jackson 5, The Supremes, Temptations, Marvin Gaye and more. Let's just say that the results so far - even in these early stages - have been nothing short of phenomenal. If these boys were destined to do anything, it was to sing with soul!
