(Music Box Award) - Country music artist Pete Schlegel has been nominated for France's Music Box Country Awards' New Artists - Male! The nomination is based on around 50,000 votes from Music Box listeners. Winners will be announced at the end of October.

Pete Schlegel's current single from his Strong Stuff cd is titled "A Girl Like You". "A Girl Like You" was written by Ron Harbin, Aaron Baker, and Anthony Smith, and can be found on Mark Trail Music compilation No 11.

Pete Schlegel recently had his first Number One single with "Somethin' Strong"! "Somethin' Strong", written by Marty Brown and Mark Anderson, was released in March on the Mark Trail Music compilation No 10, track No 4, and is on Pete's debut cd, Strong Stuff.

Pete Schlegel has had several national U.S. releases, including "Short For Gone," "Leaving Ain't As Easy As It Sounds," and "It Takes A Whole Lotta Liquor To Like Her". Pete's music has spent several weeks on the Music Row charts, and his video for "It Takes A Whole Lotta Liquor To Like Her" has been receiving airplay on VH1 Country and GAC.
