Sydney, AU. (SONY BMG Music Entertainment) - Alicia Keys has stormed the US charts, debuting at No 1 with her latest album 'Unplugged'. It's the third consecutive No 1 for the stunning R&B star, who also took out the top spot with 2003's 'The Diary Of Alicia Keys' and her 2001 debut 'Songs In A Minor'. Recorded earlier in the year at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, 'Unplugged' sees Alicia revisit some old classics, perform some new soon-to-be-classics, and revamp some classic covers - with a little help from friends like Maroon 5's Adam Levine, Common, Mos Def and Damian Marley.

The 'Unplugged' album has debuted at a massive No 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart in the US, creating a No 1 Billboard debut trifecta for Alicia! Her previous two albums, 'Songs In A Minor' and 'The Diary Of Alicia Keys' both took out the top spot when they were released, proving that the fabulous Ms Keys really is one of the most exciting artists of our generation.
"The passion she pours into 'Unplugged' shows why she should be a lasting star" - USA Today
"If ever there was an artist at home in the unplugged setting, it is Alicia Keys. Keys simply thrives, breathing new life into songs from her catalogue and a few carefully selected covers" - Music Week
'Alicia Keys Unplugged' is in stores now. The DVD version is released October 30
