New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Today DIAMOND-certified master of moody songcraft, Delacey, announces her forthcoming sophomore album, 'The Girl Has A Dream.' Arriving on June 30 and available for pre-add now, the 14-track project follows in the footsteps of the GRAMMY-nominated songwriter's debut project, 'Black Coffee,' which drew praise from Billboard, American Songwriter and more.

Serving as an unfiltered journey through thoughts, desires, dreams, insecurities and more, while also spotlighting her airy vocals and raw, relatable lyricism, 'The Girl Has A Dream' is packed with achingly thought-provoking tracks, each finding real-life inspiration - from bad therapy sessions and anxiety attacks on plane rides to gut-wrenching heartbreaks, and even death. Escaping to a small cabin in middle-of-nowhere, upstate New York, Delacey hunkered down in the height of the pandemic with her best friend/producer Ido Zmishlany [Justin Bieber, The Kid LAROI, Camila Cabello], building the foundation for the project - a no-holds-barred collection of songs that quickly became the soundtrack to her escape from the craziness of the outside world.

"There are two halves to this album," Delacey explains. "Some of it feels like the dreamer, and some of it is giving up on the dream. One half is healing from trauma, and the other half is my darkest season. I feel most alive when I'm sad, grieving, or going through pain. It makes me wake up, be present, and connect to God or a higher power. I hope audiences feel that when they hear my music. At the end of the day, pain, grief, and life are all beautiful. You'll hear all of this on 'The Girl Has A Dream.'"

The project is a perfect introduction to the world of Delacey, who co-penned and co-produced every song on the project, having a hand in all aspects of their making. With tracks like "Dandelions," hundreds of her vocals are stacked atop one another in a perfect, poetic prologue to the project, while "Slot Machine," which was inspired by a terrible therapy session, took countless hours for her to compose (but ended up being her favorite production on the album, as a result).

The ongoing theme of pain and the process of overcoming is prevalent throughout every song on 'The Girl Has A Dream' - from "Life is Fucking Beautiful," a cinematic look at her life to this point, to "Things I'd Save in a Fire," which she began writing during an anxiety attack on a plane ride, after spotting another passenger on the flight in a state of relaxation - something Delacey quickly realized she was regretfully unable to experience, due to her mental health.

Accompanying today's announcement is the latest taste of what to expect from the forthcoming project - "The End." Available today (4.28), the pop-infused bop, which was written by Delacey alongside Justin Parker and Nate Cyphert, finds the SoCal native reminiscing on love gone wrong in a lighthearted, singalong-inducing way. The track follows in the footsteps of her first samples from 'The Girl Has A Dream,' including the otherworldly look into a broken relationship titled "Man on the Moon," which arrived in February, and "One Mississippi," which she released last month as an equally-compelling, dreamy, mid-tempo ode to pure heartache.

As a whole, 'The Girl Has A Dream' is powerful, lush and unapologetically dark, yet beautiful - all words that perfectly sum up who Delacey is as an artist and songwriter, who has found major success in the world of songwriting through co-penning massive hits for artists including Halsey, Justin Bieber, Dove Cameron, The Chainsmokers,Gayle, Zara Larsson, and many more.
