SANTA MONICA, CA. (CARSEL EVENTS) - 15-year-old Ada-Ann Esplin, the winner of the coveted Overall Junior Vocal Grand Champion of the World title, will be making her eagerly awaited U.S debut on November 7th at Jazz SAfari - an evening of South African Jazz - to be held in Santa Monica.

A remarkable list of achievements and awards follow this young talent - who, like Actress Charlize Theron, is from South Africa. Already a veteran of live performance, television and recording, Ada-Ann sparkles in any medium and her versatility will be on display at Jazz Safari - as she performs an eclectic mix of material from jazz to country to pop music.

The event will take place on November 7th at The Temple Bar in Santa Monica, 1026 Wilshire Boulevard, from 8pm to 2am. Tickets are $15 (Prebooked) and can be purchased online at www.carselevents.com. For more information call 310-569-6954

Jazz SAfari is headlined by The Rashid Lanie Jazz Trio with International recording artist and award winning composer, producer Rashid Lanie (keyboards), Wendel Williams (Bass) and Anthony Davis (Drums) playing a selection of their original Jazz compositions as well as tracks from well known South African Jazz musicians including Dollar Brand, Hugh Masekela and more.

Superstar Percussionist Leon Mobley will be a guest performer. Mobley has just completed performances with The Dave Matthews Band and Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals.

Event organizer and ex-Capetonian, Selwyn Schachat(DJ Sachay), will be the DJ for the evening playing a wonderful selection of music including The Soweto Jazz Pioneers, The Elite Swingsters, Jonathan Butler, Ernie Smith and more.

Gourmet Deli Sandwiches catered by Miriam Kosberg Catering will be available for purchase on the night of the event.

A silent auction will be held to benefit NextAid. an organization dedicated to raising awareness about Africa's 15 million orphans. Every single day approximately 1400 people die of AIDS in South Africa alone, the epicenter of the crisis. NextAid's mission is to create sustainable solutions for African children orphaned as a result of AIDS. By partnering with businesses and various organizations in the production of dance music eventsand other awareness raising activities, NextAid channels emergency and long-term aid to African children in need. NextAid broke ground on its pilot project this summer, the building of an earth-friendly multi-purpose child support center in Dennilton, a poor rural town in the Mpumulanga Province of South Africa. Pictures and video can be seen on the NextAid website www.nextaid.org
