New York, NY (Top40 Charts) After the career Stacey Jackson has had, the status of an icon comes naturally to mind. Her talent for revising the classic '80s sound into a contemporary hit is a trademark that puts her name at the forefront of the dance music scene. Stacey Jackson brings back the groove with her new liberating release 'Soldier', paired with an incredible and inspiring music video.

Due to the instant success of her previous releases including, 'Flipside' and 'Urgent', Stacey Jackson keeps the ball rolling with a new chapter of her upcoming album 'Super Woman', with 'Soldier' as the first teaser. Building on the foundation of empowerment and freedom of self-expression, Jackson lives to challenge the narrative and inspire positive change.

Inspired by real-life stories of Jackson's close friends, who came out later in life, feared but craved living an authentic life, 'Soldier' champions emotional liberation and owning your truth; she sings: "There comes a time for change, the power to be free, in this game of life, we've gotta choose what's it gonna be".

Speaking on the single and the music video, Jackson says, "We all have different characters to ourselves, wearing multiple hats and what feels like different lives at times! However, no matter who you are to people, you are always and only YOU for yourself. And there is only one REAL you. In every scenario, you must be your own soldier. We all have to be true to ourselves no matter who is counting on us because we could never be a great parent, great at our jobs, a great sibling, friend or partner until we are true to ourselves."

'Soldier' is co-written with Ramzi Sleiman, who she collaborated with before on her No. 1 single 'Flipside'. Jackson revives more than just the nostalgia of the '80s, she also lets in a glimpse of her 1985 teenage rock band called Cold Front.

Stacey's love for the '80s is unmatched. In 2021, she was named presenter of her very own TV show 'Stacey Jackson in the '80s' which ran for 3 seasons (on Spotlight TV, Sky Channel 365, Music & Memories and Freest 500). Her single 'Flipside' was the soundtrack to the show, and gained the No.1 spot on the Global Digital Radio chart, proving the '80s really aren't over!

After writing, producing and hosting 54 episodes, later in 2023, Stacey moved on to focus on her new book "How A Gangsta Rapper Made Me A Better Mum". All episodes are still available to watch on replay on her YouTube channel.

inger/songwriter, entrepreneur, TV presenter & mother of four, Stacey Jackson is an inspiration for stay-at- home moms when she shot to fame, having launched her music career at age 40. Following the chart success of her debut single, Stacey has gone on to release four albums & over a dozen singles, and recorded 'Live It Up' with legendary rapper Snoop Dogg. The record recently celebrated its 10th anniversary and was rebooted & relaunched in June 2021, featuring brand new mixes which included the Pink Pandas. She has also worked with Papa Levi & prolific dance music producers & remixers such as C-Rod and Dave Audé. She's toured the world from stadiums to floats at Pride, stepping out in her trademark high heels & hot pants.
If you should take away anything from this new Stacey Jackson single, it is to be your own soldier and choose happiness and the truth.
