LOS ANGELES (AV PUBLICITY SERVICES) - The Hispanic News Service calls her the 'high priestess of operachi.' Legendary artist Lalo Guerrero calls her 'a great talent.' She and her band will perform a Latin version of Handel's 'Messiah' this holiday season.

Clearly, if you love Latin music and the holiday season, you can't miss this new release from Oakland, CA, based Juanita Ulloa. She is about to release a brand new holiday collection of Latin American music: "Paz y Alegria (Peace and Joy)," due November 15th from Ulloa Productions.

The busy holiday performance schedule begins November 20th with a concert in Berkeley, followed by a gala CD release concert in San Francisco on December 2nd. On December 10th, Juanita and her Picante Ensemble will perform with the East Bay Symphony, doing a Latin rendition of a portion of Handel's 'Messiah.' They will also perform on the public radio syndicated show, 'West Coast Live' on December 3rd. This is the second time Juanita and her band have performed on the show, and they are the only mariachi group ever to do it.
