Music Entertainment) -After the massive success of their first self-titled debut album, a recent whirlwind promotional tour and the release of their new album 'Ancora',
Il Divo look set to take Australia by storm - again. The opera superstars visit Oz in March 2006 as part of their world tour, and four of the seven shows sold out within the first day!
While in town recently, the four members of
Il Divo -
David Miller, Sebastien Izambard, Urs Buhler and
Carlos Marin - wowed everyone they encountered with their charm, style and undeniable talent. One of the highlights of the quartet's promo trip was a performance of 'Unchained Melody' (Senza Catene), the first track from their new album 'Ancora', on Australia's number one television show Dancing with the Stars. The guys also won the hearts of the entire team at Sunrise.
'Ancora' features original music and well known tracks such as Mariah Carey's 'Hero', the classic Righteous Brothers 'Unchained Melody', 'Ave Maria', Eric Carmen's hit 'All By Myself' and a moving duet 'I Believe in You' with multi-platinum selling artist Celine Dion.
The pop opera stars will return in March 2006 as part of their world tour, and will no doubt be performing some of the classic tracks on 'Ancora'. But if you want to see them, you'll need to get in quick - tickets have been walking out the door at a rapid rate!
