NASHVILLE, TN. (Trace Adkins Official Website) - Country giant
Trace Adkins will kick off 2006 with his Honky Tonk Badonkadonk Tour. The tour will make stops in cities all across the United States, including Columbus, OH, South Bend, IN, Albany, NY, Kelseyville, CA, Las Vegas, NV and more.
Craig Morgan and
Josh Gracin will be among the opening acts on select dates throughout the tour.
From the moment Adkins takes the stage, he's got the audience eating out of his hands and leaves them wanting more. There are only a handful of artists who can fill an entire show with so many hits and Adkins has a string of them, including "Every Light In The House Is On," "(This Ain't) No Thinkin' Thing," "I Left Something Turned On At Home," "Chrome," "Hot Mama," "I'm Tryin,'" "Then They Do," "Rough & Ready," "Songs About Me," "Arlington" and many more.
Adkins has said that he never performs the same show on any two nights- each one is predicated on what kind of environment he's in. So whether he's roaring good-time rockers or caressing heartache ballads, Adkins promises to give his fans all he's got every time he hits the stage. With that kind of philosophy over the years, he's developed a huge fan base, for which he's says he's extremely grateful for.
"Country music fans are the best everywhere and they've always made me feel like I'm at home, no matter what zip code I'm in," says Adkins. "I just want to thank them from the bottom of my heart for blessing me with such an incredible career that I truly enjoy."
Adkins, who has one of the most powerful and distinctive voices in country music today, is one of the genre's true rugged individualists. In just under a decade, he's sold millions of records, won dozens of awards, his CDs are either gold or platinum-certified. He's also become a member of the Grand Ole Opry – an honor he claims sits among the biggest highlights of his career.
Adkins has been a regular on late night talkfests, appearing on The Tonight Show, Late Night With David Letterman, Last Call With Carson Daly and The Conan O'Brien Show, among many others. He's hosted numerous specials for The Food Network, HGTV, CMT, Disney and more. No doubt, you've also heard his voice on national commercials like K F C and the hit comedy series, "King Of The Hill," where he's been featured numerous times.
Adkins latest CD, SONGS ABOUT ME made its debut at the top of the Country Albums chart, becoming his second chart-topping CD within 18 months. The album is filled with more of the kind of grit, passion and even fun, for which he's best become known - like the huge hit and barroom rocker, "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk." The CD has already been gold-certified and is quickly making its way towards platinum status.
Supporting Acts Craig Morgan and Josh Gracin will share the duties as the opening act. Morgan recently spent five weeks in a row at number one with "That's What I Love About Sunday," and Gracin's three singles from his certified gold, self titled release have all reached Top 5, with 'Nothin' To Lose' hitting No 1.
