MISSY HIGGINS HITS UP SUNNY NORTH QUEENSLAND

Sydney, AU. (EMI MUSIC Australia) - Missy Higgins has announced a concert in Cairns on January 31 and Townsville on February 2. They will be her first ever headlining concerts in North Queensland. She will be joined on each date by her band plus special guest – and fellow ARIA nominee - Lior.

Missy has toured the north before as an opening artist for John Butler and The Waifs. Footage from these trips featured prominently in the video for her single 'Ten Days' but these will be her first ever headlining dates.

Unfortunately Missy's busy touring schedule will not allow her to visit other cities so these two shows will definitely be the only Queensland dates on this tour.

'I'm really looking forward to getting back to Townsville and Cairns because I had a great time last time I was up there', said Missy. 'Also, I'm currently touring in the US where it's really cold so I can't wait to get back to some warmth and sunshine.'

Tickets for each of these shows will go on sale at 9am next Wednesday (December 14) from the venues and are expected to sell quickly over the Christmas season.
