NEW YORK, NY (Everloving Records) - The Rolling Stones have announced the tour openers for the North American leg of their "A Bigger Bang" Tour.
The Stones, who have introduced Guns 'N' Roses, Coldplay and Sheryl Crow to the world by way of their opening act, have chosen red-hot Canadian electro-rock band Metric to open the two most prestigious shows on the tour at New York City's Madison Square Garden. The female-fronted Metric will open for The Stones at the world's most famous arena on January 18 and 20.

After opening for The Stones in NYC, Metric will head out on their own headlining tour in support of their latest release "Live It Out," the follow up to the band's debut, the fan favorite and critically acclaimed "Old World Underground, Where Are You Now?" "Old World," produced by Michael Andrews ("Donnie Darko," "Mad World"), was released in 2003 by Los Angeles-based Everloving Records (www.everloving.com), who are also responsible for Jack Johnson's multi-platinum debut "Brushfire Fairytales." Everloving expects similar results from Metric.
Metric is frontwoman/keyboardist Emily Haines, guitarist Jimmy Shaw, bassist Josh Winstead and drummer Joules Scott-Key.
