Music Conference and Festival, scheduled to take place Wednesday, March 15 - 19, 2006 in Austin,
Texas is pleased to announce three new artist interviews and our initial list of showcasing acts. The artist interviews for 2006 will feature kd lang, Sam Moore and The Pretenders. These sessions join previously announced speakers Judy Collins, Kris Kristofferson, and Billy Bragg as well as the keynote conversation with Neil Young.
As it has over the past nineteen years, the informative panels supply attending music professionals up-to-date information on industry happenings. Panel titles for this 20th Anniversary of SXSW include Indie Label White Paper, Management/Attorney Cage Match, New Orleans Music After Katrina, Get On The Road And Stay There, Diamonds In My Mouth - Texas Hip Hop, Issues In International Rights, Podcasts Invade Earth, Breaking British Buzz Bands, A New Look At The Harry Smith Anthology, Superpowers Of Music Supervision, and New Business Models For Labels. Other topics to be covered include Music Blogs, Touring, Publishing, Distribution, Producers and many more. The panels along with the expansive trade show exhibition take place at the Austin Convention Center.
