NEW YORK (Atlantic Records) - ABB/Atlantic recording group Little Brother has announced the first leg of dates for their highly anticipated North American tour. The itinerary - which sees the North Carolina hip-hop trio supporting Fort Minor - follows the group's critically acclaimed 2005 Atlantic debut, THE MINSTREL SHOW.

The tour kicks off January 28 in Minneapolis at First Quest Club and continues into February. The group is also scheduled to make a special pre-tour stop at New York City's Nokia Theatre on January 26, sharing the stage with MF Doom, Big Daddy Kane, Pete Rock, Lord Swear and Jin.

'Lovin' It,' the first single from THE MINSTREL SHOW, premiered on MTV's Advanced Warning in August, was part of Spankin' New Music's Discover and Download, and was the No 11 most played video on MTV2. The group performed on mtvU's Woodies awards show in November. 'Lovin' It' also made a major impact at radio, peaking at No 1 on the Rap Attack chart and No 2 on the CMJ Hip-Hop chart.

THE MINSTREL SHOW received top critical praise: USA Today gave the album four out of four stars, Scratch Magazine a 10 out of 10 rating, XXL Magazine an 'XL' rating, and The Source an astounding four and a half out of five mics.

Since officially coming together as a trio back in 2001, Little Brother has been hailed as among hip-hop's most provocative and ingenious groups. They struck an instant chord within the rap community, garnering praise from the likes of Pete Rock and the Roots, as well as catching the ears of Jay-Z, who recruited 9th Wonder to craft tracks for both himself and Destiny's Child. 9th Wonder has gone on to produce a wide array of artists, including Mary J. Blige, Memphis Bleek, Jean Grae, Masta Ace, and Buckshot, among others.
