(SugarlandMusic.com) - If you go to Sugarland's website right now, www.SugarlandMusic.com, you'll read the following statement:

"This statement from Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush: 'Kristen (Hall) has decided that she wants to stay home and write songs, and we support her in that decision.'

Kristen Hall had a career of her own as a recording artist: she released her debut album 'Real Life Stuff' in 1990. The disc earned the singer a publishing contract with BMG, and created a buzz among music lovers in Hall's hometown of Atlanta.

Kristen Hall is one of the most special American folk women singers/songwriters. She started out as a roadie for the Indigo Girls, and overcame overwhelming shyness to start a performing career as part of the Atlanta music scene. Her song "Let It Rain" was covered by Amanda Marshall. Most of her recordings appear on Daemon Records.
