SYDNEY, Australia (SONY BMG Australia) - Get ready to inject some Scottish goodness into ya Australia Day! We're stoked that
Franz Ferdinand will be doing their first ever live webchat with fans around the world from right here at HQ in Sydney this Thursday, January 26 at 10am (AEST) - the perfect Big Day Out warm-up! And get down to Sunrise on Friday to catch the guys kicking out two tracks LIVE in
Martin Place.
Franz are back in the house... and damn we're glad to have 'em back! Rockin' their way around the country on their second to visit to our fair land as part of the Big Day Out musical circus (and throwing in a few side shows + DJ sets for good measure), everyone agrees you can have it SO much better with Franz. The guys are in unbelievable form (their set at the Gold Coast BDO was a huge highlight of the day) and just a little happy to be seeing some sun at this time of year.
Big news is that the band will be doing their first ever live webchat from here at HQ this Australia Day (Thursday, January 26 for any of you unpatriotic sods out there). Alex, Bob, Paul and Nick will chatting live online to registered members of www.franzferdinand.co.uk right around the world, so start submitting your questions for the guys right now at their official site.
Due to international timezones, the webchat will take place for an hour at the following times:

Also in other Franz news, Channel Seven's Sunrise is going to get a blistering wake-up this Friday, January 27 when the guys rock out with not one, but two (!) tracks - 'The Fallen' and 'Do You Want To' - live. It's going to an insanely smart way to shake off your post BDO lag, so get your dancin' shoes on and hightail it down to Martin Place for a 7.50am kick off. Everyone else - tune in to watch Franz rock yer box.
Stay tuned for our video interview with Nick and Paul on their favourite bands, gigs and festival tips coming later this week.
