UNCASVILLE, CN (Mohegan Sun) - The legendary rock group Bon Jovi was inducted into Mohegan Sun's Walk of Fame on Wednesday, February 1, 2006. The event helped to celebrate their second sold-out show of the "Have A Nice Day" tour at the venue.

Bon Jovi formed in 1984, breaking through to amazing success in 1986 with the album Slippery When Wet which yielded two No 1 singles - "You Give Love A Bad Name" and "Livin' On A Prayer." To date, Bon Jovi has played more than 2500 concerts in 50 countries, and has sold more than 100 million albums world-wide. Their latest CD Have A Nice Day was released in late 2005, and the tireless rock stars have been out on the road playing to packed houses since then. Since 2003, Bon Jovi has played three separate concerts at Mohegan Sun for a total of nearly 25,000 fans.

Over the past nine years, Mohegan Sun has grown to become the Northeast's premier entertainment destination, and to recognize those individuals who have made significant contributions to the company's success, Mohegan Sun has developed the "Mohegan Sun Walk of Fame." Tim McGraw was the first inductee in 2004; Rod Stewart and Alan Jackson were honored in 2005. Country's new supergroup Rascal Flatts was recently inducted on January 27, 2006. All individuals inducted into the "Mohegan Sun Walk of Fame" will have their name engraved in a plaque that will be permanently placed at the entrance to the Mohegan Sun Arena. They will also receive a crystal replica to commemorate the occasion during a special induction ceremony held at Mohegan Sun.

Mohegan Sun boasts three entertainment venues: Mohegan Sun Arena, Cabaret Theatre and Wolf Den. Since it first opened in 1996, the legendary gaming and entertainment destination has hosted the best of every generation and genre - including country superstars Alan Jackson and Tim McGraw; rock icons Aerosmith and Rod Stewart; classic musicians Tony Bennett and Burt Bacharach; and legendary sold-out concert attractions Cher and Jimmy Buffett. Major sporting events, including championship boxing, college and professional basketball, tennis, billiards, bull riding and bowling, have also found a home at Mohegan Sun. In 2003, Mohegan Sun made headlines as the first non-NBA owner of a WNBA team with the acquisition of the Connecticut Sun - the 2004 and 2005 Eastern Conference Champions.

Mohegan Sun, owned by the Mohegan Tribe, is one of the largest, most distinctive and spectacular entertainment, gaming, shopping and meeting destinations in the United States. Situated on 240 acres along the Thames River in scenic southeastern Connecticut, Mohegan Sun is within easy access of New York, Boston, Hartford, Providence and located 15 minutes from the museums, antique shops and waterfront of Mystic Country. What began with the Casino of the Earth in 1996 has evolved into a legendary destination that now includes: the Casino of the Sky and over 300,000 square feet of total gaming space; The Shops at Mohegan Sun, featuring more than 60 retail shops and dining venues ranging from food court-style to gourmet; the 10,000-seat Mohegan Sun Arena for world-class sporting events and concerts, and an intimate Cabaret; and a 34-story luxury hotel, featuring 1,200 guestrooms and suites, premier meeting and convention space and a world-class spa.
