It's A Baby Girl For Matthew West!

BRENTWOOD, TN. (Sparrow Records) - Congratulations to HISTORY maker Matthew West and his wife Emily who welcomed their first child, a daughter, into the world on January 16, 2006. Luella Jane West weighed in at 5 pounds, 10 ounces and is doing great, just like mom and dad.

"Thanks to everyone for your prayers. They were answered, and Lulu is a healthy baby girl!" says a post on West's site. "We will post pictures asap."

West, whose own hits include "More" and "Next Thing You Know," also writes songs for other popular artists including Rascal Flatts and Joy Williams. In his unique dynamic fashion, West has a new single, "Only Grace," now playing at radio from his current HISTORY album, while another tune he co-wrote for his friend Anthony Evans, "Good Enough," reaches the airwaves this week.
