BURBANK, CA. (By Rick Gershon/ Warner Bros. Records/ www.theshys.com) - LA's own rising stars THE SHYS, have signed to Sire Records and are nearing completion of their debut full-length album with producer Dave Cobb (Rock n Roll Soldiers, The Years).

With an average age of 21, The Shys have already toured with the likes of The Redwalls and The Killers and have paved the West Coast with their hybrid blend of classic American and British rock & roll. Equal chucks of Stooges & Stones: The Rolling Stones, Stone Roses, Sly and The Family... fight for melodic democracy and soulful sensibility. Their reputation as a stylish live band with genuine shake-appeal is about to be introduced nationwide.

Starting March 1, The Shys will tour the nation supporting The Subways. This will be the first coast-to-coast tour for both bands.

Underground buzz seeks higher ground:
"Stones-y swagger and BRMC's fuzz-saturated menace, songs like 'Two Cent Facts' and 'The Usual Unusuals' pulse with genuine grit and peril. These newer songs are further proof that the band is progressing at a startlingly fast clip." - Pop Matters.Com
"The Shys dig a little bit further back in the influence closet and call upon the glory days of The Rolling Stones, T-Rex, The Stone Roses, and David Bowie to help set the direction towards the future." - Swizzle-stick.Com
"Their sound is confident, swaggering, yet tuneful, never once threatening to run out of gas." - Staticmultimedia.com

The Shys are: Kyle Krone - vocals/guitar, Alex Kweskin - keyboards, Chris Wulff - bass, Mike Walker - drums.
