NEW YORK, NY (Sony Urban Music/Columbia Records) - Grammy week promises to keep multiple Grammy Award nominee John Legend busy. Legend, who appeared on the cover of the USA Today "Life Section" on Friday, February 3, will perform with Stevie Wonder on the Super Bowl pre-game show Sunday, February 5.

John Legend has been announced as one of the artists - alongside Ludacris and Ciara - to be honored at the 4th Annual Artist Empowerment Celebration (AEC) Luncheon to be held at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Tuesday, February 7, 2006. The AEC will pay tribute to the late Coretta Scott King.
Legend is slated for a pre-Grammy appearance on the "Oprah Winfrey Show" on Wednesday, February 8.

The scope of John's Grammy nominations - Song Of The Year, Best New Artist, Best R&B Song, Best R&B Album, Best Male R&B Vocal Performance, Best Traditional R&B Performance, Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal, and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration - illustrate the breathtaking range of this emerging superstar.

John has just returned from a series of triumphant performances including a set at the Jamaica Jazz Festival in Montego Bay as well as show in Capetown and Johannesburg, South Africa. He is slated to perform at the half-time show at the NBA All-Star game in Houston on February 19, 2006.

Legend's debut album, Get Lifted, debuted at No 7 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart and No 1 on the R&B Album sales chart has since gone on to achieve RIAA gold and platinum status. Legend hit the road twice in 2005, first as the heralded opening act for Alicia Keys and then as the star of his very first headline tour.
John Legend is slated to begin recording the eagerly-awaited successor to Get Lifted next month.
