BURBANK, CA (Warner Bros. Records) - Critically revered and beloved Boise, Idaho, band Built to Spill have kept everyone in anticipation since their last release, "Ancient Melodies of the Future." In the past five years, the band has toured on and off while working on their new album and finally, "You In Reverse," their first self-produced and truly collaborative band effort, will be released April 11, 2006. A national tour will launch on the same day. Dates will be listed below.

The band line-up has once again been fortified by the addition of guitarists Jim Roth and Brett Netson, enabling the band to scale even greater sonic possibilities.

The band has launched the www.myspace.com/builttospill page, and pure excitement has already started surrounding the first track released digitally to the public February 14, 2006, "Goin' Against Your Mind." Billboard.com enthused: "At nearly nine minutes, the song is the most rocking and expansive piece of music Built to Spill has unveiled in years." The full album will also become available in the digital domain at all participating online outlets on day of release.

In other Built to Spill news, the band will be performing new material at this year's SXSW Music Conference in Austin, Texas, as part of the Warner Bros. Records showcase along with Secret Machines, Jean Grae and Talib Qweli on Wednesday, March 15 at La Zona Rosa.
