System and an equally impressive 7,000 number of streams through the system. Promo Only MPE also announced today that user levels for its industry-leading system have surpassed 6,100 and the adoption from Country radio broadcasters now stands at 89%.
These announcements come on the heels of Promo Only MPE releasing a MAC version of its digital distribution system as well as the availability of version 2.0 featuring a number of key upgrades including full iPod support, music video delivery capabilities and linear HD audio support.
Mediabase 24/7, one of the most respected names and services in the radio industry with nearly 1,700 radio affiliates, has made Promo Only MPE available on their service in the United States since late 2005. Mediabase 24/7's password protected website allows radio broadcasters, via the Promo Only MPE System, to preview and download selected full length music tracks.
'Our partnership with Mediabase 24/7 has provided music industry professionals extraordinary access to the immense benefits of our service,' said Dean Ernst, Director of Promo Only MPE. 'The great number of downloads to date on Mediabase 24/7 validates the fact that a large percentage of the industry is experiencing and reaping the rewards of our system. Over the last few months, we have seen a tremendous surge in the number of labels requesting to get tracks into the Promo Only MPE System and make them available for download on the Mediabase 24/7 website to their users. As we constantly evolve and make upgrades to the system, we fully anticipate this trend to continue.'
"The integration of the Promo Only MPE System into the Mediabase 24/7 research engine has been very well received by our customers," said Mediabase 24/7 President Rich Meyer. "This powerful new feature offers the radio and music industries another efficient way to receive and deliver music.'
Promo Only MPE has been leading the music industry in digital distribution in the United States since its launch in October of 2004. To date, the system has over 6,100 individual registered users. In excess of 9000 tracks have been distributed through the Promo Only MPE System for labels including Universal Music Group, Sony BMG, EMI Music Group and Warner Music Group. 2005 marked the partnership deal with Mediabase 24/7 monitoring service and the unveiling of the first ever digital distribution system with Spanish language capabilities, allowing it to serve the growing number of Spanish speaking radio stations and Latin label divisions in the United States. In 2006, Radio and Records announced that they will combine with Promo Only as the exclusive sales representative for the Promo Only MPE System.
Promo Only MPE is used and supported by every major broadcaster including Clear Channel, Infinity, Citadel, Cox, Cumulus, Salem Communications, Radio One, Emmis, Entercom, Sirius, Journal, ABC, DMX, CBS, Jones Radio, Yahoo, AOL, Music Choice, Disney, Univision, Westwood One, Regent, Premiere Radio, Next Media and many others.
