LAREAU MAKES GOOD AND SIGNS LABEL DEAL

NEW YORK (www.lareau.net) - Hometown Rock'n'Roll heroes Lareau, from Jamestown, NY, will celebrate their debut Rust Records release Changes at a special showcase March 31 at Shawbuck's (212 West Second Street) at 9:30 p.m. in Jamestown, with Special Guests Brandy Lies. (Lareau will grace the stage at approximately 10:30 PM)

Multi-instrumentalist/percussionist Darrin Payne, guitarists Pete Gool, Chris Saxton, bassist Tim Reed, keyboardist Anthony Brown and singer/songwriter Larry Lareau are thrilled to be able to perform in front of the people who gave them their start.

Rust, distributed by Fontana/Universal, signed the band on the strength of their signature sophisticated sound of melodic material, filled with buoyant harmony and complex instrumental interaction. Compared to bands like Ben Folds Five, Three Doors, Ben Harper and Dave Matthews, Lareau is a breath of fresh air in an industry stagnating with repetition.
