BOSTON, MA. (Marriott Copley Hotel) - Boston jazz music fans are in for a real treat that begins with great acoustics and includes a well tuned grand piano and attentive wait staff. The stage is set to bring on Ray Santisi, respectfully referred to as Boston's Dean of Jazz Piano. For good reason, too. Ray Santisi is New England's crowning jewel of jazz. He is joined every Sunday in the Terrace Lounge at the Marriott Copley by Marshall Wood (bass) and Gene Roma (drums). The three lift the listener to a level you rarely here live. This is the real deal, ladies and gentlemen. Come hear.

Whether you want a quiet chat in the corner or a booth for six, you'll find your evening's delight with this trio. Between the ambiance and music, you can bathe in the relaxed atmosphere; enjoy a libation and perhaps something from the menu. There is no cover charge. The entertainment is complimentary.

The Terrace Lounge is located up the escalator at the front entrance of the Marriott Copley Hotel, 110 Huntington Avenue, Boston. For reservations, call 617 236 5800.
That's every Sunday evening from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, a wonderful way to begin your week and to support live jazz in Boston.

About Us: Ray Santisi is an internationally known jazz pianist who has played as featured soloist with Charlie Parker, Stan Getz, Mel Torme, Irene Krall, Natalie Cole, and countless other well-known jazz greats. He has recorded on major labels, such as Capitol, Roulette, United Artists, Bethlehem, Transition, Rasan and Sonnet. His CD's are available at www.cdbaby.com/all/raysantisi and singles may be downloaded from Apple iTunes.com

"What a joy it is to hear Mr. Santisi let loose on an acoustic piano..." Stu Vandermark, CADENCE Magazine
"A man sitting on top of the world, professionally speaking." Ernie Santusuosso, Boston Globe jazz critic

" the most exciting piano player I've heard since those first sessions with Bill Evans and Marian McPartland and Oscar Peterson." The Raleigh, N.C. News and Observer
"Boston's most in-demand jazz pianist." The Boston Phoenix
Teaching with Stan Kenton's summer jazz clinics on college campuses throughout the country, performing in Europe, Scandinavia, and Asia, receiving two grants for composition and performance from the National Endowment for the Arts are a few examples of Ray's global appeal. Ray Santisi's The Real Thing, a multi-talented group, brings the vitality of fresh, contemporary arrangements to the classic music of the Great American Song Book. The group's internationally-known instrumentalists are complemented and enhanced by fine vocalese, creating a unique ensemble effect.
Marshall Wood (bass), Born in Omaha, Nebraska and raised in Washington, D.C., Marshall moved to New England in 1979, where he quickly became one of the most sought after bassists in the area. His reputation as a swinging and sensitive musician landed him recording dates with Anita O'Day, Monty Alexander, Tommy Flanagan, Dave McKenna, Ruby Braff, Scott Hamilton, and Gray Sargent. He has also performed in top jazz festivals in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and South America, and tours with Tony Bennett.
Gene Roma has been a working drummer, popular around Boston for many decades. His teaching credits include the Newton Percussion Academy where many of today's working drummers got their start. Whether it's swing to listen or dance, Roma is a popular musician around town.
