NEW YORK (Top40 Charts) - Eminem is currently positioning himself for another year in the headlines as 2002 will see the release of the rapper's new album and his first feature film.

Eminem's follow-up to 2000's massively successful (and controversial) The Marshall Mathers LP will be titled The Eminem Show, according to a spokesperson for the rapper at Interscope Records. As it stands at press time, the record label is eyeing a late April release for the effort. Dr. Dre has once again manned the production controls.

A few months later in July, 8 Mile, the rapper's semi-autobiographical feature film debut, will hit theaters. Eminem is also writing the soundtrack to the film, which, in addition to the rapper, will also star Kim Basinger as his mother.
