WOODLAND HILLS, CA (Univision Records) - Anais, Univision Records' newest Latin music phenomenon, has made it to No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Latin Tracks list with the song "
Lo Que Son Las Cosas" topping 24 million listeners for the week ending April 3rd.
"Lo Que Son Las Cosas," penned by Luis
Angel Marquez, is the first single release from "Asi Soy Yo," the eagerly awaited debut album of this young, talented singer from the Dominican Republic.
Interestingly, the first cut from this album, which goes on sale April 18, has five versions: ballad, reggaeton (with the help of renowned Reggaeton artist Voltio), Duranguense (with the collaboration of "Duranguense superstars," Alacranes Musical), salsa, and techno.
"Asi Soy Yo" gives music fans the best of Anais, produced by the famous Latin Grammy-winning producer-composer Sergio George, who says of this artist: "She has a very special talent ... she can dance, she's good-looking, she has a spectacular voice, and a very bright future ahead of her."
At this time Anais is promoting her album in Puerto Rico where, in addition to participating in "Objetivo Fama" (Anais was the winner of the show's second season), she will be holding interviews with the Puerto Rican media.
Afterward, Anais is headed for Germany, where she will be participating in the video taping for "Arriba, Arriba," the official song of the 2006 World Cup, for the Univision Network in the United States, along with label mates Ana Barbara, Pablo Montero and Mariana Seoane.
