SANTA MONICA, CA (Geffen Records) - Rob Zombie has something to celebrate today. Debuting at No 5 on the Billboard Top 200 chart selling 107,000 units, his third solo CD, Educated Horses is now the No 1 rock album in the country. Zombie matches his highest Billboard 200 position from the September 1998 release of the 3X platinum solo debut, Hellbilly Deluxe, moving 120,000 units.

Zombie made a splash in 1992, with the 2X US platinum album La Sexorcisto: Devil Music, Vol. 1, followed by 3X US platinum album Astro Creep: 2000 in 1995. Back then, the music scene was steeped with Grunge bands, and then gave way to the rise of pop rock and boy band hysteria. Through it all, this multifaceted artist (composer, director, and rockstar), has maintained his longevity and continues to entertain across generations. Educated Horses proves what a resilient and inspired artist can do.

After directing dozens of music videos to critical acclaim, Zombie made his first feature film debut, directing House of 1000 Corpses and followed up with the recent hit sequel, The Devils Rejects. Zombie, however, shows no signs of slowing down. His current "Educated Horses Tour" is hitting 34 cites and his next film project, The Haunted World of Superbeasto, an animated film, is slated for release later this year. But for now, with Educated Horses, Zombie has returned to his first love, music.
