Nickelback lead the field of nominees for the 2002 Juno Awards, Canada's equivalent of the GRAMMY Awards.
Our Lady Peace topped the nominees' list with five nods for Best Album (Spiritual Machines), Best Group, Best Single ("Life"), Best Album Design (Spiritual Machines), and Best Video ("In Repair").
Nickelback and legend Leonard Cohen were one behind OLP with four nominations each. Nickelback grabbed recognition for Best Group, Best Album (Silver Side Up), Best Single ("How You Remind Me"), and Best Rock Album (Silver Side Up). Cohen scored nominations for Best Artist, Best Songwriter, Best Pop Album (Ten New Songs), and Best Video ("In My Secret Life").

Other notable multi-nominations went to Nelly Furtado (Best Album for Whoa, Nelly! and Best Artist) and Rufus Wainwright (Best Songwriter and Best Alternative Album for Poses).
The 2002 Juno Awards will take place at Mile One Stadium in St. Johns, Newfoundland and Labrador on April 14. For the first time in their history, the awards will be broadcast on Canada's CTV at 8 p.m. (ET/PT).
