NEW YORK, NY (KOCH Records) - Having just finished a 15-month tour with Alison Krauss' Union Station, virtuoso Jerry Douglas, a musician and creator whose dobro work has revolutionized an instrument and helped define American roots, country, and bluegrass music, has just announced highly anticipated tour dates with his band.

Called "dobro's matchless contemporary master," by The New York Times, twelve-time Grammy winner Jerry Douglas is one of the most innovative recording artists in music, both as a solo artist and member of groundbreaking bands including J.D. Crowe & the New South, the Country Gentlemen, and most recently Alison Krauss & Union Station. Douglas' distinctive sound graces more than 1500 albums, including discs released by Garth Brooks, Paul Simon, James Taylor, and Ray Charles, among many others. Adding to his already-distinguished list of honors, Douglas recently received the coveted Musician of the Year Award at the 37th Annual CMA Awards late last year.

Douglas' new solo album, "The Best Kept Secret," is receiving wonderful reviews. Kicking off with the slippery and driving groove of "She Makes Me Want To Sing" featuring fellow slide-master Derek Trucks, the album's 11 tracks are the most ambitious and accessible work to date for Douglas, marking the masterwork of a key musical explorer and a testament to his evolving creative spirit. The album features Alison Krauss, John Fogerty Bill Frisell, Bela Fleck and Sam Bush.
