NEW YORK (By Marisa Bianco/ Atlantic Records) - Everfine/Lava/Atlantic recording group O.A.R. has disclosed details of their upcoming summer tour. The dates come in continued support of the band's 2005 release, "STORIES OF A STRANGER."

The just-announced itinerary will kick off on June 8th at Phoenix, Arizona's Celebrity Theatre. Further stops on the trek will include Los Angeles, San Diego, Vancouver, Seattle, Boston, Atlanta, Denver and Indianapolis (see attached itinerary). Support on the majority of the summer dates will come from Jack's Mannequin, which features Andrew McMahon, the songwriter, voice and keyboardist behind the group Something Corporate.

In addition to their headlining summer tour, the band will also join Dave Matthews band on a number of dates, starting off on June 23rd at Hershey Park Stadium in Hershey, Pennsylvania and culminating in a three night stand at the Gorge in George, Washington on September 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

The new itinerary follows O.A.R.'s current road trip, which sees the band teaming with Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc. and Major League Baseball to celebrate the release of "MLB® 'O6 The Show." Upon that tour's April 26th conclusion, O.A.R. will continue on the road for a further series of late April and early May concerts. Long hailed as one of the hardest touring bands in the country, O.A.R. fulfilled a lifelong dream earlier this year by headlining a sold-out concert at New York City's world famous Madison Square Garden.

Released last October, "STORIES OF A STRANGER" is shaping up as the Maryland-based band's popular breakthrough. "Love and Memories," the collection's current single, is a top 20 hit at both Hot AC and Triple A radio outlets nationwide. In addition, the track's companion video clip has just been added at VH1, while the video for "Lay Down" recently premiered on MTVu, where it is now in "Summa Cum Laude" rotation.

O.A.R. is: singer/guitarist Marc Roberge, lead guitarist Richard On, bassist Benj Gershman, drummer Chris Culos, and saxophonist Jerry DePizzo. For more information, visit www.ofarevolution.com.
