BURBANK, CA. (Warner Bros. Records) - Modern punk rock sensations, THE SUBWAYS are coming back for more. Their first sold-out nationwide tour of the U.S. has cemented a fervent fan-base of loyalists demanding more. The band has responded in kind: "We love coming to America. We've had an amazing time and our fans have been so enthusiastic," said vocalist/guitarist Billy Lunn (21).
Bassist/vocalist Charlotte Cooper (20) adds, "We weren't quite sure what our first American experience would be like but the shows have been so cool and the audiences have been really into it." Drummer Josh Morgan (19) agrees: "Really looking forward to coming back, might even play some new songs."

The new American tour will kick-off with a performance at the annual Coachella Valley Arts & Music Festival in Indio, CA. and head through the mid-west which includes at stop at this year's Lollapalooza Festival in Chicago. The bill will also feature label-mates The Flaming Lips and Built To Spill. The tour then heads east with further dates to be confirmed shortly. Confirmed dates will be listed below.

Meanwhile, the band's album debut "YOUNG FOR ETERNITY" continues to grab headlines: "THE SUBWAYS debut is packed with kind of raw energy and brash attitude that comes with youth...it hits you like an express train." - People Magazine

"The most compelling debut of the year." - Synthesis Magazine

"THE SUBWAYS threaten the Arctic Monkeys' position as the hottest band out of the UK." - Rolling Stone

Fans of the band have been incredibly active online as digital sales of the first single, "Rock & Roll Queen," have now exceeded 200,000 downloads since November resulting in Platinum certification from the RIAA.

The next single from the album will be "Oh Yeah." Expect the track to hit airwaves in May. Presently, the video for the single debuted on Yahoo this past week.
