NEW YORK, NY (Jupitermedia Corporation) - Jupitermedia Corporation (Nasdaq: JUPM) today announced that its Jupiterimages division has acquired certain assets of Steve Shapiro Music, including a wholly-owned music library of over 2,200 royalty-free music tracks. Steve Shapiro Music owns a wide selection of tracks offering moods, themes and instrumentation ranging from hip-hop to classical styles. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Steve Shapiro has composed music for hundreds of radio and TV commercials, documentary films, infomercials and other TV programs. Before establishing his own studio, he was the music director at Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, which produced hundreds of award-winning educational films and recordings. "We are pleased to purchase over 2,200 royalty-free music tracks from Steve Shapiro. In combination with our recent acquisition of Crank City Music (https://www.crankcity.com) in March 2006 and BBM.net (https://www.bbm.net/) in December 2005, Jupitermedia is now one of the largest owners of digitized royalty-free music for promotional and Web use in the world," stated Alan M.
