LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts) - Goo Goo Dolls' long-awaited next album, Gutterflower, now has a release date. The group's sixth studio album will drop on April 9 on Warner Bros. Records. Gutterflower is the group's first new studio album since 1998's Dizzy Up the Girl, which included the hits "Iris" and "Slide." To tie fans over, the group released the compilation album What I Learned About Ego, Opinion, Art and Commerce in May 2001. The first single from the album, "Here Is Gone," will go to radio in the first week of March. The video for the single was shot last weekend by Francis Lawrence, and a world tour is expected after the release of the album, according to the band's spokesperson.
