LOS ANGELES, CA (Luck Media & Marketing) - With over 18,000 MySpace friends and counting, you can be sure that Evan Page's straightforward punk-pop style will rock the house off of LA's Viper Room. Coined as "beach bitch music" by one music critic, you can catch Page's Viper Room industry showcase on Friday, May 5th at 7pm sharp. She and the band have set up the showcase concert for the quickly growing audience as well as the music industry, media and most importantly it seems nowadays - MySpace fans.

Back in the good old days, like circa 2000, a driven, up and coming indie singer/songwriter like Page could impress fans and industry tastemakers alike with a resume that includes multiple gigs all over the world. But here in 2006, that's just ancient history and anecdotal fodder compared to scoring in a realm that has real culturally groundbreaking potential - MySpace.com.

Since she put it up last fall, Page's MySpace page (no pun intended) has been, in her words, "beyond ridiculous," scoring over 21,000 hits (and counting) by fans who can't get enough of the song and video for "Next Ex," the tough minded, edgy yet humorous first single from her fully DIY, seven song debut project No Ordinary Girl. Traffic has gotten so heavy on the site that Page hired a team to manage it. The overwhelming response - which includes airplay on college radio stations in Washington and Oregon - has led to quick sales of over 6,000 units of the album. The song's elaborately produced video, which was directed by Dave Swuz of Springfield Films - best known for the popular indie film "Stealing God" - incorporates scenes of the singer indulging in her love of hockey, which she has played for over 10 years.
