Nelson Mandela's 88th Birthday.
- "Love sees no color, no race no religion/We are the same as the rays from the sun/Love sees no color no race no religion/Only through love can we live as one."
Can these four simple, beautiful lines change the world and make it a more peaceful and tolerant place? Will this inspiring poetry - written and sung by an intensely spiritual world traveler - have the power to effect positive change?
In a historic moment for the cause of world peace, international recording artist Nassiri will launch his spectacular "Love Sees No Color World Peace Tour" at the prestigious Velodrome in Capetown, South Africa, on August 2, 2006. The Mbuntu, or "ultimate gathering" as such important events are referred to in South Africa, will feature Nassiri's visually stunning concert performance that will also embrace participation by South African artists such as dancers, musicians, production and special guest performers and speakers. More details to be announced soon.
In addition to "Love Sees No Color," Nassiri will include the debut of his original birthday song. It will be performed also to honor the 88th birthday of South African and global peace icon Nelson Mandela - whose lifelong message is echoed in "Love Sees No Color." Additionally, Nassiri will sing his just completed anthem "Woman," a song that ties in with the country's celebration of Women's Empowerment Month and was created to inspire and pay homage to women throughout the world.
Reflecting on the upcoming event, Nassiri explains, "I am greatly honored to be invited by the glorious people of South Africa and look forward to bringing the concert there. I truly feel with all my heart that the international community will be motivated by this day of music and compassion to embrace the virtues of 'Love Sees No Color.' My mission is one of peace and love. My music is intended to transcend all ages, genders and as the song says, 'races and religions' to create a harmonized, peaceful world. I simply wrote the song, but the people of South Africa live 'Love Sees No Color' every day of their lives."
