Jessica Sierra is one of more than 100 reality stars appearing at the first Reality TV Convention set for June 3 and 4 in Nashville. And for the only concert event set for that Saturday evening, she will be headlining the show that will also feature performances by other American Idol and Nashville Star finalists.
"I'm really excited to be headlining the official concert of the Reality TV Convention," says Sierra. "It will be great to reunite and share the stage with some of my friends from last season of American Idol, and to meet other reality tv stars who have experienced some of the same things I have gone through."
Sierra, the dynamic vocalist and Tampa, FL native who was one of the stars of AI's fourth season, will be joined by fellow finalists Lindsey Cardinale and Scott Savol for the show at Nashville's City Hall.
The concert doubles as the official after party for the event and is sure to be packed with contestants from hit reality shows including Survivor, Big Brother, The Apprentice, The Biggest Loser and more.
In the weeks leading up to the performance, Sierra has been making the rounds at local media, including an appearance on Nashville's CBS affiliate's Talk of the Town on May 8, a drive time visit to radio station Venus 102..5 on May 10, and a stop at the Fox 17 Morning show on May 11. She has also been, and continues to be, a recurring guest commentator on American Idol for MSNBC's Scarborough Country.
It's all part of what has been a whirlwind 18 months for the 20-year-old Sierra - from becoming an American Idol favorite to making major media appearances with Entertainment Tonight, Inside Edition, Vh-1 Big in '05 Awards and more. And now reality TV fans will get another prime time performance as she closes the convention's cornerstone concert and party.
Finalists from Nashville Star will open the concert, which is open to the general public. Tickets for the show can be purchased at any Ticketmaster location or online at www.ticketmaster.com.
Of this season's American Idol, Sierra thinks the competition is tight.
"I'm devastated that Chris will not be in the final two," she said of this week's results. "Personally, he is my favorite this season. He has an amazing voice, plus he's HOT! Like many of us, I think he will have a great career after Idol. He has a very commercial sound and what he does will translate well on current pop/rock radio.
"It's going to be a tough decision between the three remaining finalists. They can really sing and are so different in style. I'm excited to watch the performances next week.
"It takes a lot of courage and stamina to make it to the Top 12 Finals of American Idol. All of the finalist should be proud of what they have achieved, and really have fun and enjoy this summer's tour!"
