NEW YORK (Top40 Charts) - Metallica has one of the best stories in the history of Rock N Roll.
People have quit, been fired and died in tragedy. They took on the industry, changed it and won the game. And none of that is as important as the fact that they really did it their way. Now the group is having a documentary made about them.
And its being made by some pretty talented guys, Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky. The two are best known for their documentary's on the West Memphis Three.

A group of three teenagers that were convicted of murder in part due to the way they looked and the music they listened to, metal. Reports indicate that the doc is about 30% completed and will include the whole James/rehab and Newstead leaving thing.

Metallica has a past relationship with the directors by contributing music to the aforementioned documentaries. No word on when the doc will be out.
