Alicia Keys - who took home five trophies last week - has joined the lineup for one of the biggest annual AIDS benefit concerts, LIFEbeat's UrbanAID 2.
The event, set for April 9 at the Beacon Theater in New York, also features the previously announced P. Diddy (who also serves as co-chairperson for the event with Russell Simmons), Jay-Z, and host Jamie Foxx.
Keys is currently on tour, with R&B newcomer Glenn Lewis opening up. Her last few dates until the summer are Monday (March 4), Alladin, Las Vegas and Sunday (March 10), Copley Symphony Hall, San Diego.
She's also set to headline the first night of the three-day Essence Festival in New Orleans on July 4, with India.Arie, Faith Evans, Mary J. Blige, Al Green, Isley Brothers, Luther Vandross, Gerald Levert, and Angie Stone on board. Other summer dates include July 22, Atlanta, Chastain Park Amphitheatre; July 26, Tempe, Ariz., Gammage Auditorium; July 27, Las Vegas, Aladdin Hotel & Casino; and Aug. 1, Paso Robles, Calif., California Mid-State Fair.
