TORONTO, Canada (By Sarah Miller and Megan Schwartz/ Axis Marketing & PR) - Musicrypt Inc., the industry's leading and most secure digital media distribution company, today announced that RCA Music Group selected Musicrypt's Digital Media Distribution System (DMDS) to deliver the winning song from the new "American Idol," Taylor Hicks, to radio across North America. Nearly 30 million viewers tuned in to see the "American Idol" season finale and nearly 50 million fans voted.

The 2006 "American Idol" winner, Taylor Hicks' version of "Do I Make You Proud" was delivered for immediate download and airplay on Wednesday May 24, 2006 at 9:53 PM PST by RCA Music Group via DMDS.

"RCA Music Group chose DMDS to instantly deliver the eagerly anticipated 'American Idol' winner to radio," said Adrian Moreira, VP Adult Format Promotion for RCA Music Group. "The fact that we can securely distribute music internally to our own staff, our sister company in Canada and externally to our radio and press partners at the moment the new Idol was chosen, demonstrates that DMDS is the premiere digital media distribution system available."

Musicrypt's DMDS has delivered over 4,000 songs from over 40 record labels to destinations which include radio stations representing over 35 broadcast chains nationwide.
"Musicrypt is delighted to partner with RCA Music Group to simultaneously deliver Taylor Hicks' new single, 'Do I Make You Proud,' to radio stations across North America," stated Chris Montgomery, EVP of Musicrypt.
