NEW YORK (R'n'R Hall Of Fame) - Jewel will induct Brenda Lee into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame on March 18 at New York's Waldorf Astoria hotel. There's no word on whether or not the Alaskan songstress will perform.

Although it hasn't been officially confirmed, there are rumors that Green Day will usher the Ramones into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. Johnny Ramone was asked about Green Day inducting the band. Ramone told would love that, but nothing had been planned.

Green Day frontman Billie Joe told about the scope and importance of the Ramones music. "Anywhere, if you talk about the Midwest, you're talking about the South, East Coast/West Coast, Canada, Europe, anything that is punk rock has been either directly or indirectly influenced by the Ramones. They are equivalent to the first punk band. Whether even they like to think so or not, you can hear it in a lot of different people's music."
