Sydney, AU (EMI MUSIC AUSTRALIA) - The Kooks have proven to be one of UK's biggest 'buzz' bands for 2006. Their first single 'Eddie's Gun' stormed into the UK Charts at No 35, with follow up singles moving up in the charts, 'Sofa Song' No 28, 'You Don't Love Me' No 12. But it is their 4th single 'Naïve' that proved to be a massive Top 10 hit (peak No 5).

'Naïve' pushed the Kooks debut album 'Inside In, Inside Out' from No 64 to No 3 on the UK chart and helped album sales explode to platinum+ (400,000). The album remained in the top 10 after 15 weeks with worldwide album sales exceeding over 1/2 million copies.

Hailing from Brighton, The Kooks are a scuzzy, fresh-faced group that will fully restore your faith in the holy grail of English singer-songwriting, stretching from Supergrass via Blur to The Kinks and beyond!

Recent headline tours throughout the UK and support slots with The Thrills, Dead 60s, The Futureheads and The Subways along with a show stopping performance at V Festival 2005 have won the band a burgeoning fan-base in their home territory.
With 'Naïve' at Australian radio now..The Kooks are set to explode in Australia.. Watch out for this band!
