PORTLAND,
Maine (By Angie Helton/ Northeast Media Associates) - Singer/songwriter
Emilia Dahlin will kick off the release of her latest CD and her Northeast tour at the Paradise Lounge in Boston, Massachusetts, on Tuesday, June 20th at 9 p.m. "God Machine" is Emilia's third CD, and is packed with clever lyrics and a jazzy folk craftsmanship that recalls
Joni Mitchell and Rickie Lee Jones. All of the songs were written by Dahlin.
The release of "God Machine" comes after Emilia and her band put on a strong performance at the North by Northeast Festival in Toronto, Canada. Recently, she also became one of only ten people selected out of 600 nationwide to play in the troubadour contest at the Telluride Festival in Telluride, Colorado.
Radio Stations and writers can visit https://www.promoonlympe.com and find Emilia's single "Loneliness Is..." to hear a small taste of her big talent. Emilia's music can also be found on iTunes, Rhapsody and PureTracks. Interested music fans can also visit her newly designed Web site (design by cgCraft.com), that will launch next week at https://www.emiliadahlin.com, and will find some of her music and concert date information.
"After several listens to Emilia's CD, one thing is very clear -- this lady can sing," said Brian Interland, Independent Music Producer in Boston, "and 'Loneliness Is...' is the track AAA radio should embrace."
Her second release party will be on June 23rd at 8:30 p.m. at Space in Portland, Maine. Portland is the city she has called home for several years. "This has been an unbelievable ride and I am extremely excited and proud of my new CD," Ms. Dahlin remarked. "My band is amazing and has really showcased their talents in this new release. I know we are ready to put on some fantastic shows this summer."
"When I first met Emilia, I sensed that I had met someone special," said Harry Nelson, Programming Director of Portland's WPOR 101.9. "I was impressed with Emilia's sensibility in her musical messages and with the adventurous path that she is taking as an artist. Listen to her music, become a fan and walk down that beautiful path with her."
Following her release parties in Boston and Portland, Emilia will head to Portsmouth, New Hampshire, for a performance at the Red Door. To order "God Machine," visit https://www.cdbaby.com or https://www.publikmusic.com.
