New York, NY (Roadrunner Records) - Tune into Rockline tonight to hear new interviews with Faktion and Black Stone Cherry.

First up will be Faktion, coming off the success of their first single "Take It All Away", they will soon drop "Letting You Go" as a solid follow up. Hailing predominantly from West Texas, the band now calls Dallas home. Faktion is selling out some pretty large venues in the Lone Star state and has been making the rounds with Seether and the aforementioned 10 Years. Their capabilities range from being able to perform a strong acoustic set for radio station appearances to a blistering live stage show. This is a band unafraid to drop in some head turning guitar work punctuated by strong vocals, as all five members sing. If you didn't give their outstanding, self titled debut album a full chance, this is a great time to catch up. The Texans' web address is www.faktionband.com.

Black Stone Cherry, our other southern stalwarts call Bowling Green, KY home, although they hail from the booming metropolis of Edmonton...that's Kentucky too, not the big one in Alberta, Canada. Growing up in a rural, dry county (yeeesh!), the four young lads turned to music as a healthy, creative outlet. Coming from a long line of musicians and instrument makers didn't hurt their efforts either. They eschewed their fathers and grandfathers bluegrass roots and created their own style, a blending of Skynyrd and Sabbath by their own terminology.
The first single "Lonely Train" has done very well at radio and their debut album is laden with thunderous, hook-filled, whiskey soaked southern anthems and a lot of grit and power. Not bad for some boys from a dry county. Environment shapes us all and for BSC growing up entertaining themselves has taught them how to entertain us.
