NEW YORK, NY (Atlantic Records) - Atlantic recording artists Big City Rock and NEEDTOBREATHE, joined by Decaydance/Fueled by Ramen band October Fall will hit the road together this summer for the Love & Heat Tour. The tour features low ticket prices (averaging around $10) for a full night of great new music. Slated to begin July 6 in Los Angeles, the itinerary will run through August 11, wrapping up in Chicago. All three bands are co-headlining the bill, with a changing performance order each night.
Big City Rock released their self-titled Atlantic debut earlier this year, produced by Brian Malouf (Pearl Jam, Michael Jackson, Everclear) and Adam Schlesinger of Fountains of Wayne. The L.A.-based band is on track to play over 300 shows this year, touring with Rock Kills Kid, Morningwood, Head Automatica, and Phoenix. Big City Rock has also made national television appearances on "Last Call with Carson Daly" and "CD USA."
Led by brothers Bear and Bo Rinehart, South Carolina-based Lava/Atlantic band NEEDTOBREATHE has already earned a fervent following throughout the Southeast. Produced by Andy Green (Keane, KT Tunstall), "Daylight" marks the rock quartet's major label debut, featuring the soaring first single, "You Are Here." The band has been touring the country non-stop since "Daylight"'s April release, including a recent run with Grammy-Award winning rock group Train. NEEDTOBREATE will make their national television debut, performing on ESPN's "Cold Pizza" on July 25.
October Fall signed to Decaydance, the Fueled by Ramen imprint led by Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz. The Chicago quintet subsequently released "A Season in Hell," produced by Mike Green (Yellowcard, Rufio, Paramore). Following the album's release, the band toured with Ashlee Simpson, The Click Five, and Fall Out Boy. Alternative Press named them one of the "100 Bands You Need to Know" for 2006.
