NEW YORK (Sony BMG) - Following the announcement of the forthcoming
September release of their new studio album, A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH,
Iron Maiden went one step further by unveiling the latest cover art on their website (www.ironmaiden.com) yesterday. Along with other strange visions, the art includes of course Iron Maiden's infamous mascot, Eddie, who is a perennial fixture in the band's album cover art, as well as being incorporated, spectacularly, into their live shows. He is seen on Maiden T-shirts all over the world, usually causing mayhem somewhere or to somebody. Like the amazing ten tracks on the CD, the cover is dramatic, ground breaking, unusual and 100% Iron Maiden.
Also announced is the news that THE REINCARTION OF BENJAMIN BREEG will be the band's first single, shipping to radio on July 24th. BENJAMIN BREEG will also be unveiled online in the near future on various digital music services.
THE REINCARNATION OF BENJAMIN BREEG is taken from the forthcoming album, A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH, which will be released by Sanctuary Records on September 5, 2006.

Iron Maiden will undertake a World Tour for which US dates have yet to be announced but are expected to be soon. The European leg in Nov-Dec, which comprises multi-date arena shows, is already on sale with the majority of shows already sold out. In Scandinavia alone some 100,000 tickets were sold out the first day on sale back in February. The tour promises to be a Maiden Spectacular and will feature a lot of material from the new album
