DALLAS, TX (Jack Foltyn - FTA Productions) - Jack Foltyn, a Dallas-based actor, writer, dancer, singer and choreographer, has selected the Eisemann Center for the national premiere of "Walk a Mile in My Shoes," opening Sept. 8, 2006, with 13 performances. This original musical is an exciting blend of rock 'n roll music, comedy and drama. It was conceptualized, written, and produced by Foltyn and his company FTA Productions as a story that parallels the experiences of an actor, like Foltyn himself, through a narrative about Elvis, his life and his overall desire to be a complete artist in all aspects of his career. Foltyn's unique spin allows audiences to see Elvis' past and "what could have been" future as an analogy of what many of today's actors experience, creating a production that symbolizes not the life of a legend, but the life of a performer.

Center Countrywide Theatre in Richardson, TX."Walk a Mile in My Shoes" brings to stage, not the story of Elvis, but the peaks and valleys of his life as told by his fans and himself, giving the audience a voyeuristic view into the soul of a performer. Foltyn stars in the production as the lead character. Having been a fan of the "King" since childhood, Foltyn found the life of Elvis to be his muse. Through the process of writing this musical Foltyn discovered many parallels between what he has experienced in the business and what he imagines Elvis experienced. "Walk a Mile in My Shoes" is a blending of the Elvis we know with the Elvis Foltyn imagines as told by Foltyn's own personal experiences.

"This is my imagination at work, and as I wrote it, I realized many of my own personal travels were flowing onto the pages and that comparisons could be seen between my experiences and what I imagined Elvis also experienced," said Foltyn. "This discovery melded into the final production that is more of a representation of my life showcased through my knowledge of Elvis. It is meant to entertain, so there are unique and artistic licenses taken."

Foltyn's creation provides a fictional story immersed within an electrifying show for all ages. It brings to life the era in which Elvis existed, and through his music, and other music as well, defines the time and moods of those eras. From Elvis sightings, to Vegas, to Priscilla, to the Colonel and a mixture of other colorful characters, this production is a high-energy, heart-stopping musical that transcends the boundaries, giving the audience a chance to walk in the shoes of an actor and experience his world - relationships, thoughts, dreams, disappointments and successes.

The performance will be in the Countrywide Theatre. Tickets are on sale and can be purchased through the Eisemann Center's box office, 972-744-4650, or online at www.eisemanncenter.com. The Eisemann Center is located at 2351 Performance Dr., Richardson, Texas.

From the East Coast to the West Coast, Jack Foltyn has played the "King" in a variety of settings, produced and starred in his own one-man show, "The American Dream," and spent nearly a year touring the country in one of the earliest productions of "Idols of the King" after he earned official approval from Elvis Presley Enterprises. Foltyn's performances are not limited to music by Elvis, but include blues, rock 'n roll, country, gospel, doo-wop and other standards. Foltyn and his American Dream band have numerous CDs, including his newest, "American Dream Trilogy." Foltyn has worked with many accomplished actors such as Blair Underwood, Heather Locklear, Terry Kiser, and Stephen Tobolowsky. Foltyn is credentialed by SAG, (Screen Actors Guild) and the Actors Equity Association and has received numerous awards and nominations for his performances.
